From the April opener through early May, gobblers are vocal, henned-up birds break loose, and setups are as good as turkey hunting gets in the mid-South. Two bearded birds is the spring limit, and our hunts are built around filling both tags.
Spring: two bearded turkeys, only one per day. Fall: four turkeys of either sex, only one per day, split across archery and two shotgun segments. Confirm current limits with Kentucky Fish & Wildlife before your hunt.
We roost birds the evening before and get you tight before fly-down. If a bird hangs up, we move. Decoy setups, blinds for youth and camera hunters, and run-and-gun for hunters who want to cover ground, your guide adapts to how you want to hunt.
Your Kentucky license and turkey permit, a patterned shotgun or bow, and camo suited to April weather that can swing from frost to 80 degrees in one week. We handle lodging, meals, calling, and bird care.
