Kentucky vs Ohio Deer Hunting: which should you book?
We guide both states, so this is not a sales pitch for one over the other. Kentucky and Ohio grow big deer for different reasons, cost different amounts, and reward different hunting styles. Here is the honest breakdown.

| Crossbow | Opens later than archery | Legal the entire archery season |

| Antlered limit | One statewide | One statewide |
| Antlerless opportunity | Generous in Zone 1 counties | Set by county, 1 to 4 deer |

What is the same in both states
Both are over-the-counter states with no draw, both require telecheck or game check on the day of recovery, and both are drivable from most of the eastern half of the country. Our camps in both states run the same way: honest guides, managed ground, lodging and meals on guided packages, and a 10 percent deposit to hold dates.
Can you hunt both in one trip?
Yes, and a handful of our hunters do it every year. Buy licenses in both states, book back-to-back weeks, and remember the one-antlered-deer limit applies separately in each state.
